“Happiness is not something ready made. It comes from your own actions.” ~Dalai Lama
We all want things in life – achievements, experiences, relationships. We can have them if we work at them.
Take courses to learn more. Read ebooks and blogs that offer tips for improvement. And most importantly apply that knowledge a little every day.
It’s a beautiful thing that at any moment we can do something to better our lives. But sometimes we get so caught up in striving that we forget to enjoy where we are.
We put so much stock in a better tomorrow we miss out on the small joys available in the present moment.
We’ll likely always have one eye set on something bright down the road. It’s just the way we’re wired. It’s what inspires us to learn and grow. It’s what gives us hope when times are tough. It’s what fuels progress and innovation.
But right now is a perfect time to be happy. You can feel and spread joy whenever you want, even if you don’t have everything you want.
As a new ongoing feature on the site, we’ll post a series of tips to do happy – to create, feel, and spread happiness in your day.
